Here you will find answers to the most common questions about solar roofs and everything related.

Based on our experience, it’s normally between 6-10 years. With the rising electricity prices, it can be even shorter. One of the most important variables is self-consumption – the more of the produced solar power you consume, the shorter is the payback period.

In the Northern Hemisphere, solar panels are most effective when installed on South-facing roofs. However, solar panels have also capacity to produce energy when the house is facing West and East. It can result in up to 15-20% production loss, but if you have a PV array facing both, East and West, you will have a more stable production throughout the day.

Solarstone products are building-integrated, meaning they are 2-in-1. So the panels can not be installed on top of an existing roof with the exception of standing seam steel roof.

That can be possible, if your inverter is capable of inverting the increased power production. Please contact our sales team for further details.

A solar inverter is a type of electrical converter which converts the direct current (DC) output of a solar panel into alternating current (AC) that can be fed into a commercial electrical grid or used by a local, off-grid electrical network. Most household appliances require AC power. Even the loads that require DC power (laptops, cell phones, batteries, etc.) have an inbuilt converter in its adaptor for conversion of AC power to DC.

We offer Huawei and Solaredge inverters for their safety, reliability and arc fault detection capability.

Our solar roof can last for more than 25 years. After 25 years you will still have 80% of initial power output.

The cost of your solar roof depends on a number of variables like the size of your roof, desired solution, complexity of installation etc. To get a cost estimate, please use our calculator. To get a detailed quote, contact our sales team.

Yes, the inverters allow the user to analyse electricity production and detect installation problems and errors online and via an app.

Photovoltaic panels can use direct or indirect sunlight to generate power, but they do do not perform as well on cloudy days as they would on a bright sunny day. Though estimates range, solar panels will generate about 10 – 25% of their normal power output on a cloudy day.

2 year installation, 10 year product and 25 year productivity warranty. Read more about warranty conditions here.

Batteries are a great way to store solar power for later use when the sun is down. Using electricity from your battery can be cheaper than from the grid. Click here to read more about on-grid battery systems. If you would like to go off-grid, read more here.
